It Takes a Village to Raise a Child, Let Us Be a Part of Your Village!

We recognize and appreciate a sense of community here at Milestones. We value community with our parents and families, as well as using community resources available to us. We enjoy taking part in community programs that bring hands on experiences and informative presentations. To build our community at the center, we enjoy planning activities that incorporate and celebrate our families such as "Muffins for Mom" for Mother's Day, "Dogs with Dad" for Father's Day, a trunk-or-treat and summer carnival. Some of our favorite visitors include a fire truck from the local fire station and Buster the school bus-a readiness program for kids entering Kindergarten. We also collaborate with local farms (to learn about tapping trees, processing maple syrup, animals) and nursing homes. We like to visit our friends at the Casco Inn several times a year, but during COVID we've done a pen-pal program and story time via video chat. Our friend from Sparks Ark comes to visit every summer and shares a variety of animal critters with us. His presentation includes many interesting and fun facts from his reptile and mammal friends.
